The other day, I was thinking about something I did years ago.
Replay after replay like a movie in my mind — what I said, what I should’ve said, where I went wrong.
And then, in the same breath, I jumped into the future — “What if this happens? What if that goes wrong?”
It’s like my mind doesn’t stop. One foot in the past, the other racing into the future.
But in that cycle, the present slips away.
The only moment I actually have — gone just like that.
We humans make this mistake again and again.
I have listen somewhere that
“Thinking about the mistakes of the past and worrying about them is the biggest mistake a human makes.“
Because the past cannot be changed, and the future will unfold anyway.
The only real power we have is in the “now.”
And yes, you might still get caught in this cycle again. I do too.
But every time it happens, remind yourself to come back to the present.
It won’t change in a single day, but with conscious effort and awareness, you’ll slowly reprogram your mind to live in the now.
